What is the added value of an organic label? Proposition of a model of transfer from the perspective of ingredient branding

ABSTRACT

This paper investigates the added value of an organic ingredient strategy and the transfer mechanisms at work when placing an organic label on product brands. We proposed and empirically tested an integrated model that included three stages: brand and label equity; transfer mechanisms; and product evaluation. We first selected an organic label and product brands and then tested our hypotheses with a sample of French consumers. The results confirm the positive influence of brand and label equity on transfer mechanisms (brand/label perceived fit and ease of transfer) and, in turn, illustrate how ease of transfer influences the overall product evaluation. A surprising result is that brand/label perceived fit does not directly affect the overall product evaluation; rather, it only influences brand/label ease of transfer.

Planning Discourse versus Land Discourse: The 2009–12 Reforms in Land‐Use Planning Policy and Land Policy in Israel

Land policy and land‐use planning policy are two types of public policy pertaining to space. In general, land‐use planning policy deals with land‐use allocation and property rights, whereas land policy defines the land regime of a society. These differences have shaped a unique discourse for each of these policy types. The purpose of this article is to examine the differences and similarities between the land discourse and the planning discourse by analyzing two public campaigns conducted in Israel against two proposed reforms: the 2009 reform of the Israel Land Administration and the 2010–12 reform of the Planning and Building Law. The findings reveal substantive differences between the two campaigns, manifested in the nature of the leading players, the types of public activities they chose, and most notably in the discourses and the hierarchy of considerations they addressed. The findings raise profound questions regarding universal trends in spatial policy reforms; their influence on the activities of public coalitions and the discourses they adopted; possible future effects of these trends on the differences between the land discourse and the planning discourse; and the impact of these trends on the ability of groups and individuals elsewhere to influence spatial policies (such as planning and land policies).     

Visiting Propensity Predicted by Destination Image

Abstract

In destination market positioning, the destination image plays a pivotal role. Due to the interrelationship between destination choice behavior and image, there is an increased interest in the destination image as a predictor variable in a destination choice model. The research presents a binary logistic model to evaluate factors affecting the propensity of potential German travelers visiting the U.S. The overall impression, perceptive image, sociodemographic variables and previous visits are examined in a visiting propensity context. Empirical results of this study showed that the overall image is the most significant factor in influencing destination choice, along with the perceptive image based on destination attributes. The relative importance of the destination image was assessed as being higher than other factors.     

城乡统筹背景下重庆市"城中村"改造的变革

“城中村”具有城乡二元结构特征，同时又具有其他农村所没有的区位和经济优势；在统筹城乡发展中，“城中村”是最有条件率先实现统筹的地区。重庆市作为全国统筹城乡综合配套改革试验区，在“城中村”改造中尚存在一些不利于统筹的问题，应树立新的改造指导思想，创新改造模式和改造方式以及征地补偿制度，促进“城中村”融入城市。     

重庆城乡统筹中农民工的职业技术教育问题探讨

重庆市农村人口众多，在实行城乡统筹后将有大量农村人变城里人。如何实现农村人口的和谐转移，是值得思考的问题。文章拟从农民工的职业技术教育问题入手，通过分析农民工在城市生存的现状，指出提高职业技能是农民工增加收入和更好就业的有效方法。本文对农民工职业技术教育中存在的问题进行了分析，进而对如何改善农民工的生存状况作了较为详尽的探讨。     

多伦多大学学生心理咨询与南京财经大学学生心理咨询的比较研究

在我国，对于大学生心理咨询的研究与实践，时间并不长，对于如何进行大学生心理咨询，仍处于探索阶段。该文以加拿大多伦多大学和南京财经大学的心理咨询为例，通过分析比较各自的特点及不同点，提出进一步加强南京财经大学大学生心理咨询工作的基本路径。     

完善养老保险省级统筹管理体制的思考

我国养老保险金的发放,其短缺部分主要由中央财政给予财政补贴,且补贴数额越来越大,基本实现省级养老保险统筹目标,有利于降低管理成本与缴费成本,克服低层次统筹的弊端,减少对中央财政养老保险基金的补贴压力,最终实现由省级统筹向中央统筹的养老保险可持续发展的战略目标。
